I sincerely hope whatever picture you got, it didn't do you the way I just
was done this morning.. I copied and saved a pic of a moon from the news ....
and it not only couldn't be deleted from my desk top... (so I shut down
thinking it would disappear,) but it came back with a HUGH pic on my desk top.. I
finally was able to get it off there by selecting another picture over it..
but it knocked out my FIREWALL, my ANTIVIRUS, and messed up my mouse pointer
big time. I had to call the tech to get it all straightened out.

But how I got it removed from my desktop... that is if you have XP... is
right click on an empty space on your desktop and go down to properties..click
on the Desktop tab.. and click Browse and find a picture of your choice or
select one of XP's.. and click Apply then OK... that should get it off there..
but you need to make sure it didn't knock out other stuff on your computer.

<<<< How do I delete a desktop background graphic? I have found it in Display
Mode but can't delete it. It is a file I saved from the internet>>>>

Hi,

it will help if you can provide some more details....

what is your operating system?

do you remember WHERE you " saved from the internet?

i think that when you saved from the internet you did so as a " desktop
background application" instead of to a specific location.

for starters perhaps you can try "NONE" in the "dropdown choices box" in
"display" and if it works then you can choose the one you like subsequently.

HTH and good luck---Venkat
