My computer is three years old and runs Windows 95, IE4, and I also have installed Office 97 Professional.
Several months ago I had to do a complete restore of the hard drive. When I reinstalled Office 97 after that, I could no longer use Outlook for email. And although Outlook Express is working fine, it is not even an option when I go to View, Internet Options, Programs to set the default email. Outlook is available as an option, but doesn't work even if selected; all messages come back with "no transport available." I'd like to be able to use Outlook rather than Outlook Express. Suggestions?
Also, I have purchased Windows ME but not installed it yet. Should I do that before I try to solve the Outlook problem?
