This really belongs on PC-BUILD not PC-SOFT--but:
Per an interview with Atiq Raza, Sr. VP of AMD in the October issue of
Maximum PC--
The K6-3 will have an onboard L2 cache AND use the current L2 cache on
the socket 7 mobo as a L3 cache. The chip will not support the full
pipelined CPU, like Intel. However, there will be communications
improvements the 3D unit in the chip and the graphics chip, showing at
10% improvement in games such as Quake over the k6-2 at the same
frequency.
Keep in mind these statements are direct from AMD--not based on any real
world tests.
