I finally got my new computer set up after it sitting 6 months in the box in my living room. It has Windows Vista Home Premium. My antique 300mhz computer has Windows 98SE on it. The new computer doesn't have a floppy drive, and the old one doesn't had a CD burner. Can't use Vista's transfer program because it isn't compatible with Win98. I plugged a flash drive into the old computer and it searched for a driver, but couldn't find one for it.
I've been emailing stuff to myself and then trying to put it where it belongs on the new computer.
I have lots of photos, email and a few simple programs to transfer. I hope I can get all into Vista somehow.
There MUST be a better way!??????? I have been looking for a cheap external USB drive that i can use with both computers and maybe do the transfer that way. I don't know much about this sort of thing and almost nothing about Vista. I almost bought a USB floppy drive today, but it didn't say it would work with Vista...just XP and earlier.
Suggestions, PLEASE!!!!!! Please feel free to email me.
Thanks any and all.
