Jeanie, Great suggestion!! I tried it and saw all the formatting, highlighting options, but all of a sudden, my search and replace in Word does NOT WORK AT ALL. It says it finds 0, although there are multiple instances of the word I'm finding/replacing. What could be wrong? -Ann

Dorothy, it is possible to use Find and Replace and leave the "Replace"
space blank and specify Format: Highlight. In the Find and Replace dialog
box, be sure to click on More. That will give you options for using
wildcards and word forms. So, when I put in *ly, and left replace blank but
specified Highlight, all the endings of ly were highlighted (not the entire
word). When I specified Find for all word forms and put in "has," all the
haves and hads were highlighted.
