"At my office we receive PDF files as attachments in e-mails from
various companies. Up until recently, we were able to download them, open
them, print them etc. Now, when we try to open the files, a message comes
up that says the files are damaged and unable to be opened. However,
these same files can be opened on computers running ME. The office
computers are all XP home edition and have SP2."
"Do your newer XP computers have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader (or some
other software capable of reading pdf files) installed? If not, this is the
most likely cause of the problem."

Yes, these computers have Adobe reader. As I stated it's only been recently that this problem started. We had no problem opening PDF files on these same computers earlier.
I have even downloaded a different reader & tried that with the same results. What could be "damaging" these files so that we can't open them??
Could it be a result of updating XP, or a compatability problem with some other program? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Diane Sweat
