I don't know about Adobe Illustrator but you can do batch conversions from
one extension to another in Paint Shop Pro.  And also in ACDsee.

Is there a way to have either Adobe Illustrator save as a jpg, or even a
bmp, or a program that can convert *.al files to jpg or bmp?
