The easiest way is to download Picaview (shareware) from ACDSee site or
most download shareware sites (http://www.acdsystems.com).  It's an
invaluable little instant picture viewer which has a very quick and easy
"Convert" facility, among other things.  Latest version is nagware limited
1 month.

Irfanview has a batch conversion facility, if you are converting a large
number of files. Picaview is much quicker if you are doing single files.
