In Word 97, the "ABC" button on the toolbar is both the
grammer checker AND the spelling checker.

What does or does not happened to make you think the speller
isn't working?

Can someone tell me how to get the spell checker to work in Word 97? I have
Office 97, Professional Edition,  but I only installed Word and Excel. The
grammar checker works, but not the spell checker. Help!
