We have a license to install Windows 95a on all the working machines we make
available to students from Microsoft, Brazil. I guess you can say they are
all "frankenstein" machines made of good pieces from donations. I have some
original set up discs to install overlays on the hard drives we have that
are too new to be recognized by the BIOS, but 235 megabyte hard drives are
the norm. It is fun working on these old machines. As a joke, I ran a old
program for a co-worker called LoveDos, the computer will respond to your
keystrokes until you type "I love you too"!

Howard:
On the older computers you receive, did you consider using
other OSes like Vector Linux, Peanut Linux,
FreeBSD (v 2.2 will run on a 385 with 4MB of RAM). All come with
freeprograms (freeware)to serve most average
users and if they upgrade the RAM a little more, there is world of software
to do anything and all legally free for
downloading.
