If  you are running w98, you  go to your fav folder, right click anywhere on
it and click on 'sort by name'.........

One way I sort my favorites in IE is:

1.  Empty my recycle bin.
2.  Delete my favorites...which puts them in the recycle bin.
3.  Restore them from the recycle bin and they are in alphabetical order.
