The utilities I mentioned in a previous message at www.lostpassword.com
allow you to get passwords for many Microsoft Office files. The downloadable
demo versions show you the first few letters of the password. You do not
have to be able to see the password, as I recall you just point the utility
at the correct file. When I used the Word version, the first couple of
letters was enough to jog my memory, and I remembered the password. As I
recall the full version is over $100.
