Just recently the computer has started popping up error windows with various
errors, all of the being of the general format 'Explorer caused a .... error
in ...' etc.
This happens without any program being run, and the exact pattern of errors
seems random. Sometimes you even get a few minutes use before they start
happening, but once started they go crazy and all that can be done is to
turn the computer off.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this short of re-installing
windows?

Jon

P.S. No software has been installed for a long time & hardware seems ok as a
second boot setup works fine. (OS=win98)
