Hi,
I'm running XPSP2 Home, with AVG7 PRO and Zone Alarm Plus
 When I scanned my PC it showed I had a virus,( Win32/Magistr). They tell me that this can only be removed by using MSDOS .I know how to get to the DOS program but I don't how to write to the AVG7 program so I can try to remove the virus.
  This is what they sent form AVG support but it just won't work .Is there anyone out there that could help this 75+ Newbie?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email.

You can sove mentioned files back to your hard and restart your
CP to Dos Mode and try to hela them.

1.Restart your PC to DOS mode by pressing F8 during starting PC
-> 1a.Your PC is now in the DOS mode.
2. Write command: cd \
(->Hit enter key)(carrefully do this also with space between cd and
\)
-> 2a. You should see in command line only c:\
3. Write command: cd progra~1
(->Hit enter key)(mark ~ (tilde) you done by hit Shift+key under
escape)
-> 3a. Now you see in command line c:\progra~1\\

4. Write command: cd grisoft
(->Hit enter key)
-> 4a. Now you see in command line c:\progra~1\grisoft\\

5. Write command: cd  avg7
(->Hit enter key)
-> 5a. Now you see in command line c:\progra~1\grisoft\avg7\\

6. Write command: avg.exe /sos
(->Hit enter key)
->6a. Now AVG 7.0. in Dos mode started.

So in this time you have launched AVG for DOS, perform the test and
delete all viruses which will be find.
