I am running Netscape 4.5 with Windows95. I have noticed that
some of Netscape's files are duplicated several places on my
system. there is a netscape.ini in the windows directory and in
the netscape\programs directory. Do I need them both.. and if
not which one should i delete ? I also have a number of files (
bookmark.htm, cookies.txt, and others) that are in both the
netscape\program directory and my netscape\users\username
directory. Do I need both, and if not which ones should i delete
? It seems like the netscape.ini in the windows directory has
entries that point for the most part to the files in the netscape
program directory; but it would seem like bookmark and address
files and the like should be in the user subdirectory (for each
user) and the netscape.ini pointing to that directory. Should I
copy files from the netscape\program directory to the
netscape\users\username directory and edit the netscape.ini to
point there; the deleted the duplicate files in the
netscape\program directory ?

Appreciate you suggestions and comments....

thanks
David Hurst
