Hello Carol,

Due to your previous post, where it took you so long to download OO, I'd say
to trash the program and redownload it from another site.
Generally, when something is so difficult to download, it becomes corrupted,
in my experience.
Also, as per another post, do a virus scan on your computer (and the file)
first, and when you go to install it, make sure you turn off any virus
checking software and any other unnecessary processes you have going on.
Can you tell us where you downloaded the program from? There are several
mirrors, and choosing the one closest to you is always the best bet. Also,
choose the executable rather than the zip and see if that helps.
Here are complete instructions for downloading Open Office:
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/instructions.html
Good luck, it's an excellent program, with only a little learning curve.
