Hi John,

The AutoText settings are stored in Normal.dot
See eg  http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326538
I suspect that at some point you saved some other settings under
the same Normal.dot thereby overwriting some previous settings.
You could do a search and see if you have other templates (Normal.dot)
that contain your AutoText settings.like Normal.bak or Normal.dot.bak
or Normal01.dot,Normal02.dot etc
