Well, let's see, that makes four completely different systems with the same
problem, showing up at about the same time. Now I see one common denominator
among us all, and that is Norton System Works 2000. Hmm, you don't suppose
there is a bug? Mine seems to be ok today, and my friend with the two
machines says he hasn't seen any repeats of the problem. Maybe this too has
passed. Very strange. I would have thought CMOS battery as was suggested,
but the exactness of the time loss kind of puts the kibosh on that.

I am so happy to know that I am not the only one that this is
happening to. Started last week but I thought it was the way I was
shutting the power off to the computer because that was the only
thing different when it showed up. I went back to shutting down the
normal way and the problem went away for a few days but when I
started it back up today it was one hour off. That is: Instead of
6:00am it was showing 5:00am. Is this a Y2K bug in daylight savings
time part of the clock? To be honest I don't know if it is hardware
or software. Here is what I have if that helps.

Intel Celeron 366Mhz
S1856 Tomahawk BX /A+ Motherboard
128 Megs Ram
Windows 98
Norton SystemWorks 2000

Thanks,
Gary
