You are probably using Windows 95 or 98.  Once you get Windows running,
start the program Sysedit.exe from the RUN command off the START menue.  Add
the line "WIN" without quotes as the last line in your autoexec.bat file.
That should fix it.

hi,i have a slight problem,i was trying to help out a neighbor on their
computer,i have no idea what i did,but they cannot go right to windows on
bootup,they get a prompt,i typed in "win" which brought me to windows,but
what can i do so they no longer have to go that route? thank you very
