Whenever this Dell Inspiron 9400 Notebook running Windows
XP boots it always finishes by opening the folder
"Program Files/Dell".

Very little in the folder, none of which the user has
created.

I have used "Startup.exe" to try and see what is going on
but failed to spot the application that is opening the
folder.

An identical machine bought at almost the same time and
used in the same way doesn't open the folder when booting.

I would welcome suggestions as how to stop the folder
opening automatically.

Thanks,
Tony
