This capability is already included in Windows. Go to the file list and 
highlight them all (left click on first file  and then left click on 
last file while depressing the shift key). Then right click on the first 
file, select "rename", enter new name and press "enter". The list of 
highlighted files will all be renamed in consecutive order.
