Yahoo Messenger 8.0.0.711
Windows XP SP2

Yahoo Messenger refuses to start until I've restarted Windows.

Yahoo will not start from desktop shortcut, will not start from Quick 
Launch, will not start from Start Menu, and will not start when I 
navigate to  C:\Programs\Yahoo\Messenger and double click the 
YahooMessenger.exe icon, it will not start from the right click-Open 
option, until I've restarted Windows.

With this problem, my up-time is limited to "until I want to use Y!M again".

Anybody know what the deal is, and whether there's a solution?
