Thanks for the answers...
I decided I had a bad habit of laying small things on the keyboard,
(it is a flat surface you know), and may have dented those little plastic
sheets inside that make the contact surfaces.  I saw what a bad idea
that was when I took it apart to see how it worked.
Mine have two sheets that touch through a small hole in a third sheet.
"Any" deformation of the top sheet makes the keyboard extremely
sensitive.
Sorry it was such a "dumb" solution, but if it helps one other person...
