Peter, I'm unclear about this. Are you referring to Shutdown.exe in the
System32 folder? Or something different?
My Shutdown.exe file description shows it to be a "remote shutdown". It has
a dos icon and when I double-click it, nothing happens.
If there is a separate standalone utility with the same name (more
Microsoft confusion?), is there any great advantage using this over the
normal Start Menu/"Turn off computer"?
