Win2000 doesn't have drivers for the HPT366 controller. For that matter, neither
does w98. There are a couple methods to get around this. For w2k, there's a
point during the install of w2k (I can't tell you exactly, it is difficult to
get the timing just right) when you can hit 'F6' to pause the install process
and have an opportunity to load the HPT366 drivers (get the latest from
www.highpoint.com). Another, and this works for w98 also, is to hook up your
drive to the UDMA33 port, install the OS and the driver for the HPT366
controller, then move the disk to the HPT366 port. You need to set the boot
order to "EXT" in CMOS to boot from the HPT controller.
