The fastest and cheapest backup is a secondary hard disk in a removable bay.
Tape systems are probably the next cheapest but among the slowest.
I think the best balance of price to performance is a Syquest or comparable
disk system.
I would not recommend IOMEGA for anything. Mediocre performance, very
expensive disks, almost non-existent support, and on and on....
I have no experience with them but it seems to me that On-line systems will
place you at the mercy of the internet's routing efficiency (speed) which
changes moment by moment.
