Check your startup folder and see if a program that requires an internet
connection has been added here.

Start/Run/SYSEDIT and check your autoexec.bat, win.ini and maybe your
system.ini for any recent additions that may call for a connection.

You can also ctrl/alt/del after bootup to see what programs are running.

It would appear that some or other application has altered your setup
somehow, you need to determine what app. it is.

Without any more info. that is all I can suggest.
