A RAM file is a Real Media file, used as the pointer file for streaming
video in the RM format. Typically, the only thing inside of a RAM file
is the URL location of the Real Media RM file or the location of the
Real Media live video stream.

On our NOSPIN page: http://nospin.com/pc/ts009.html
we have a link to http://nospin.com/hd.ram and inside this RAM
file is this text: pnm://nospin.com/real/drivecar.rm
which points to the drivecar.rm file and tells it to stream feed across
the Internet.

I hope that explains RAM files.
