I found that the easiest way {if they both run at the same speed } is to
make the drive with the files a SLAVE, connect to the new computer
and either copy & paste, or, cut & paste. I prefer the copy, then I can

should I burn the data to a CD and then transfer it from there.
It is a brand new compter with XP installed on it
