The easiest way is to use the TweakUI tool available at HYPERLINK
"http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx"htt
p://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Or in XP Home and in XP Professional on a computer that is not joined to a
domain:
1.
Click Start, and then click Run.
2.
In the Open box, type control userpasswords2, and then click OK.
3.Clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
check box, and then click Apply.
4.In the Automatically Log On window, type the password in the Password box,
and then retype the password in the Confirm Password box.
5.Click OK to close the Automatically Log On window, and then click OK to
close the User Accounts window.
Hope this helps,
Bob Weaver

Subject: [PCSOFT] WIN XP log in page
Hi, Guys.
What is a reason to keep the log-on page when Windows boots? I want to get
rid of that part of the boot process. I'm the only person using my
computers and if someone else were to use the computer for any period of
time, I could add it back. So, how do I get rid of it? I went into the
control panel > user accounts >windows logon and cleared that box, but a
user name window comes up. I click ok (without a password) and I can get
back into the computer. I don't want to have to do that.
Thanks,
Brenda
