I rarely update software unless I can see a compelling reason to do
so. The version I have works perfectly, and I don't really miss not having
the extra configuration. I neither need nor want the additional overhead
of its antivirus stuff.
In this case, although there may well be good reason to update, I've
decided for the time being that that reason is not sufficient to outweigh
any possible downside. At least now I know that the facility is available
should I ever need it.
There's always the possibility that a new version may upset some other
balance, as indeed occurred with ZA's first a-v iteration viz-a-viz Nortons.
I therefore choose to leave well alone.
However, thanks to all for the advice.
