I have been using AVG Anti-Virus Free version for about 4 years now with no trouble at all, but since updating latest virus files on 10/3/2003 I have lost my AVG button on my Outlook Express Toolbar and OE6 has stopped certifying both my inward and outward emails. AVG is configured correctly to certify such, and if I use Microsoft Outlook for email they are certified, so I think the problem lies with Outlook Express. I have tried MIE repair and Scanreg/restore to no avail.I have also uninstalled and reinstalled AVG. I cannot get Tech help from AVG as I am using the free version.
I am using a Pentium 800Mhz, 512mb ram, Win 98 and MIE6 with OE6.
Several of my online contacts using AVG have updated the same time as I did without any problems at all suggesting it is a problem with my OE.
Any suggestions wi
ll be warmly welcomed, but please don't suggest I use Outlook
for emails in future..I hate the program. Thanks in advance.
Fred Archer.
