Hi Patty,

I did the above and it didn't work.  I, however, just pasted the line
above
to then end of the .JS file (pasted it to the end of 3 .JS files
actually).
Should I have pasted it at the start of the "mailnews" section of the
file
in order for it to work?

Loy, I tried it just a few minutes ago after reading
http://help.netscape.com/kb/client/981014-6.html
which gives a bit more how to's and cautions.  It was simple to follow.
The insertion point it says, "3. Add the following line to the bottom of
your preferences file: ...etc."  It does caution to be sure you wait at
least 30 seconds after closing Netscape before you open the prefs.js
file so as to allow time for other programs to shutdown.
