Did you look at the port resources in the device manager? See if their are
any conflicts in these settings if they look OK then it probably would be a
good idea to reinstall Windows. I would remove the printer from the device
manager before doing this, since you are having trouble with it any way.
You may even want to remove the printer cable from the computer.  In
regards to the sound card, did you check all the settings to make sure that
the speakers are not muted. If so, then I would leave this alone since
sound cards are sometimes difficult to install. You can always
uninstall/reinstall later. Reinstall Windows. Try and get everything else
working before you reconnect the printer cable. Also get the latest print
drivers from the manufacture's web site before you reinstall Windows and
have them available on a floppy.
