ANSWER:
My experience with MediaPlayer, like Jim's, is that it won't play QT .mov
files. I downloaded the latest 6 version only to find, on trying to
install it, that you must have IE 4 or 5. Which I ( and many others) don't
have. Why don't they tell you that BEFORE you download the darned thing.
Beware of Quicktime---A quick visit to Apple's QT4 forum will show that QT4
can be very troublesome on many computers---it kept crashing mine. QT3
seems OK, but if you uninstall it, it is very difficult to find again.
Apple no longer seem to support it.
