Hi There, Tom...

I created a restore point AFTER I formatted, got my antivirus thing,
firewall, and one program I wanted on here, and my stuff back on my desktop in the
order I wanted, but I was told to create a restore point after I got all of
this done. So I created a restore point on 11-16-06, but I got my computer
messed up by saving a pic. off the net, and I wanted to go back to that restore
point. Im sure I dont understand what you are talking about. The picture I
saved was on the 17th.. so I figured if I could go back to the 16th where I
made that restore point, then I would get rid of what destruction that pic.
did to my computer.
But when I tried to find what I had named it, it said there was no restore
point there. So perhaps I'm not understanding what you are talking about. My
computer is still messed up, and I didn't want to have to format again.

I think there is a misunderstanding. When you "create" a restore point,
it is as of the time of the creation. When you "restore" you can select
what previously created point to restore from. XP automatically creates
restore points and, due to the size (which you can adjust) of the
restore cache, the older restore points will be removed/overwritten to
make room for the newest restore points.
