Hi Milt
I believe these files were put there by MS Office Fast Find.
They would be files that contain information used by Fast Find
to speed up Find Fast's ability to search through the files
on your system.
Fast Find may also be accessing your disk drives periodically
while your system runs...continually updating these files.
You can get rid of them but the next time you use Find Fast,
it will recreate them...and that would waste time.
You could do what I do...turn off Fast Find (or uninstall it)
and not install it the next time you update or reinstall
MS Office. (It's one of the options that you have if you do
a *custom* install of MS Office.)

Bill
