the formula you want in B2 is ... obviously ... =B1-A2. To get this to
continue down the page, click the cell B2 once and put the mouse over the
little square in the bottom right - the "fill handle" - and drag down. The
cell references are automatically adjusted.

If you are prepared to have a fix number of rows, say 50, your other reqt is
easy: set C1 to =B50. But otherwise it may be tough. You could try another
approach altogether: =B1-SUM(A:A) - as long as you have no other values in
column A.
