Hi,

I think this is a very unusual question. I get a lot of songs via email but why is my mail (my songs) I am downloading automatically start copying the song not only to my Outlook Express "Inbox" folder but also my "C:\Windows" and also my folder that I usually put the songs in? One day I happened to notice that my "C/Windows" folder had about 5.15 GB of information in it. Now that is probably ten times or more than I thought I usually had in there. Well when I checked there were over 3,000 SONGS in there. Most of them were duplicates. There would be something like 10-20 of each song. They are all legitimate songs. They all play on my Windows Media Player. I noticed that while I was downloading my mail the computer was just flashing "green" constantly like it was really working hard doing something. Well, it was - it was copying my mail (or songs) automatically to the "Windows" folder like mad. My poor computer is only a 6.5 GB hard drive. If the songs keep doing this automatically, it is going to blow my poor little hard drive. It seems to only happen WHILE I am downloading my mail. You can have the "Windows" folder up as the download is happening and POOF there goes a song every few seconds or so going into the "Windows" folder. Not only is it going to the Windows folder, but also where I usually keep my songs folder. Even if the folder isn't open it still copies them. I even tried closing the folder but it didn't help. WHAT IS WRONG???? Can you possibly tell me how the Outlook Express could be set up to do that? It is boggling my husband and I like mad. Please let me know as soon as possible. We have to delete 200-300 songs off of each folder every morning so it doesn't build back up in the folder. It is scary!

Thanks for any help that could fix this, other than getting rid of the computer. LOL.

Linda
