A customer's laptop presents with a whole bunch of files on the desktop.  They're labelled '~wrl0487.tmp' (the numbers vary).  Some are only a few k in size, some are 15mb or more.

The icons show the Acrobat logo, but I imagine this is only because Acrobat has somehow become associated with temp files.

A search on the net reveals little except a possible link to VRML files.

Can anyone tell me just what these things are?
