Before trying to relocate files/programs, have you tried cleaning out
unnecessary files from your C drive. Try
start/programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup. Select the type of
files (particularly temp and temporary internet files) and see how much
space that frees up. You might want to limit the size of the cache for
temporary internet files and the size provided for "system restore"
files. Also empty your recycle bin.
If you still need more room you can uninstall programs and then
reinstall them to your D drive.
