Hello Anne,

Yes, the balloon message is legitemate, your machine is set up to remind you
that one or more updates are available for you to download and install. The
messabe would be fake if it were delivered to you via E Mail, M$ does not do
that.

Further, You can tailor the Automatic Update to download these updates in
the backgorund, and then let you know that they are ready to be installed. I
have found this to be helpful since many of the updates require a restart,
you will have time to close out open applications that are running and save
any important data before a restart.

HTH

Subject: [PCSOFT] Balloon Message

Can someone tell me if it is safe to believe a balloon message that pops up
from the bottom tray that reads "Update Microsoft Patches Now"? When I
clicked on it, it looked legal.
Thanks, Anne Neighbors
