The NS6 is a work-in-progress snapshot of Mozilla -- kind of a
"Preview Release 1" for it. The problems you are experiencing are
typical for any beta... lots of bugs, slow debug code, incompa-
tibilities, etc. I had my share of them, too.
Netscape tried to stick a "Released" label on beta-quality code. But
things don't work this way. The only reason I kept the 6th is that I
have to check that the pages I make look acceptable there. Others
simply delete it, like you did.
I'm waiting for Mozilla -- and in the meantime, the 4.76 serves me well.
Yours,
