Hello everyone. I need a little help on this one. I am running Win95a.
Recently I installed a program and during the process it cleared out my
start-up folder and now I am getting this error message everytime I
boot:
"Invalid entry in msdos.sys.....AutoScan=1"
OK, I know how to redo my start-up folder and I checked msdos.sys and
tried changing Autoscan from 0-1 and so on. Something I thought
peculiar...I have an msdos.sys in both my C directory and in Windows
dir. The one in C is the one with AutoScan in it. What I need to know
is, what is Autoscan..do I even need it in there? Also, is it correct
to have msdos.sys in both directories?
TIA
