Good day fellow listers,
I have a question pertaining to office machines running windows XP connected to a business network, admin rights on the machines of the users, but no local so they can not go from safe mode back into regular netowrk log on.
A few of the machines both from people working in the office and those VPN 'ing in have received the following--ANTIVIRUS XP 2008 (which is supposedly different form anothoner one called XP ANTIVIRUS 2008).
This first mentioned one hijacks the browser to only open its page, wipes out screen saver abilites, and desktop leaving on the desktop background--buy software to remove. In doing a search
there was one solutions in bleepingcomputers.com--oferring a download which looked free until installed plus gives very vague directions for using it. Yahoo site offered another solutions which did not work for the person.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
