I've used those utilites a lot in the times long gone (like formatting a
720K floppy to 800K, and 1.2M to 1.6...) All those utilities (at least the
ones I know about) run exclusively under DOS, and in Windows they won't
work (in the best case).
Think also that the floppy thus formatted couldn't be read on other
computer unless the driver/utility is installed there, so you'll need
TWO diskettes (one for the driver, regularly formatted; second
high-density)... and this kind of negates the space gain since you can fit
2.8 MB of data on two diskettes anyway... :-)
