Guys, I hope that someone can help, I am way outside my comfort zone.
Thanks, Brian

Subject: Re: Net Framework and Microsoft.NET Framework
I am currently running two PCs and have been struggling to get Microsoft
Maths 4.0 onto the main PC - a Desktop.
Both machines have Win 7 as their OS.
As I download the software from Microsoft, CNET or whomsoever FINE
As I Run the software to Install it - FINE
BUT then an error message appears - "we told you that you would need >NET
Framework 3.5 +SP1"
I do not use this software often so first time here I tried to 'upgrade' to
vs 3.5 not realising that I already had vs 4 under the hood as it were.
The Install just never happened.
I tried this several times, using different sources of code.
I have tried to undo anything thatI might have done and restarted several
times!
No luck.
This must be a trivial problem and I am doing something wrong. YES must be!
IO am now beyond any comfort zone that I had.
Using Windows Update I have checked the current and past status of . NET
Framework
This looks there is the original 4 install followed by two to three
updates, can check and give you chapter & verse, followed by 9 or 10
Security upgrades - all must be after the 3.5 which would have been there.
Any other information can be provided as required.
My next action is to ! check the >NET framework status of the Laptop and
then try and install to that.
Another clue me thinks.
I would be grateful for any other useful suggested actions .
It does not help but I know a number of folk who run Microsoft Maths but all
on older OS systems.
Not sure whether they have, or need ,NET Framework!
Any suggestions gratefully received, I am off to the Laptp now!
Thanks
Brian
