Diane, I had the same problem with my husband's computer recognizing Norton.  For both your problems go to Control Panel, Security Center, under Virus Protection tell it "Not Monitored."  That simply means the Security Center will not monitor Norton.  Just make sure you have Norton set up for automatic updates or do your updates on a regular basis, whichever you prefer.  For your browser problem, in Security Center under Manage security settings for:  Click on Windows Firewall, click on Exceptions tab and there you can add your C:\Utilities\Favorites Home Page\homepage.html.

I just installed Service Pack 2, which took less than 30 minutes to<br>install from a CD.<br><br>I use Favorites Homepage as my IE Home page and the address is<br>C:\Utilities\Favorites Home Page\homepage.html,  It's not a web page,<br>it's loading from my computer before I'm even on line.<br><br>The Information Bar always comes up and I have to click Allow Blocked<br>Content, every time.  Is there some way to tell it to always allow this<br>page to load?<br><br>Also, I'm using Norton Antivirus, and when I boot up I get a message at<br>the little icon on my taskbar saying that it knows I'm using Norton, but<br>the status is unknown.  I know it's up to date.
