Here's a good place to start. Since you did a format, I assume you already re-installed your camera's software, as
well as its photo imaging software? ( They're two different entities.) It sounds like your files are intact, but
the software can't handle them. You *might* want to try opening them with a different program (right click / open
with / choose program). One that seems to open just about everything is Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/ but
check to see that it's compatible with WinXP first!

If this is of no help, I wouldn't fret too much - someone on the list will get you through this. In the meantime,
it's probably a good idea to copy your video files and pictures to a safe location, just so they're not lost while
attempting to solve this. hth

Subject: [PCSOFT] missing file?

I'm in desperate need of help please.
My system: Sony Vaio
                    40 gb hd
                    Pent 3
                    868 mhz
                    384 mb ram
                    Windows XP Pro
Camera: Kodak Easy Share DX4530

I got this digital camera for christmas 2003. I took pictures and movies with it at my Grandparents 72d wedding
anniversary. I downloaded and played them on my computer. They ran wonderfully!
Last month I went in to play them again and they would not play. The sound was there and it acted like they
played, but there was no pictures. I tried removing and loading the programs they used to no avail.
One week ago my computer went down and I had to do a complete reinstall of everything. A local company rescued my
data and restored it for me. Now when I try to play them its just like before except now I get this error message:
This application has failed to start because WNASPI32.dll was not found. When I do a search for this on my
computer it shows 3 of them. Any ideas how I can get these to work?
I would really be grateful for any help. My Grandfather past away yesterday so these are even more dear to me now.
Thank you for any help.
