You can zoom in the document.
Use the View menu or the Zoom toolbar (active by default).

I tried this on a couple of documents and the text is perfectly clear and
crisp, up to a zoom level of +6400% (which appears to be maximum).

If you zoom in images in the document and they appear unclear, it might be
due to too high image compression when the pdf-file was created.
